Unit 14- the biggest and the best!

My country CANADA is very interesting and beautiful, because have, lakes, mountain and snow, I think the most beautiful in this country is “The Niagaras Fall” in Ontario state.

The RestaurantI like Italian food, its wonderful, i like pasta and pizza, in Maracaibo I love “Mia Pizza”, "Mario Pizza", Pronto Pizza and "Davi ci Restaurant", the food is delicious and the service is very good, this restaurant its expansive, but is good. Sometimes I go with my family to eat.

Angela: that’s too bad! You better go to see a doctor !!

Joelh: I know , i have an appointment at 4 o´clock with my friend Maria. She is a great doctor.

Joelh: Hi Maria!!, Doctor: oh, hi alejandro! what the matter?, you look so bad !!

Joelh: I have a terrible Heat!!! Aaaaaachuuuu !!!!!!

Doctor: oh boy!!… i see. Well, you´ll get better with this, take two heatnidesd pills every 4 hours for two days . You´ll get much better .Oh.. and don´t forget to take some rest... and drink lots of water .

Joelh: ohh. thanks Maria. gee. I really fell very bad..doctor: don´t worry !! just buy the pills as soon as you leave and go home. If you still fell bad just call me again...

Joelh : ohh. Well i will. Thanks again .. At the drugstore....Pharmacist: hi, may I help you?

Joelh: yes, I would have heatnidesd and some apple juice, please

Pharmacist: here. heatnidesd and apple juice .. that it´ll be 20$

Joelh: ok. There you go.... 20$ ... Thank you...

Unit 11- Its a very exciting city!

The city TORONTO is a beautiful city and very exciting, its big, the Niagaras fall is very beautiful, the nightlife is really good, should visit the lake and the stores, the food is wonderful, and its very clean. This city its a first commercial of Canada.

LAST VACATIONS I WENT TO PANAMA CITY, A BEAUTIFULL CITY ON PANAMA. THIS CITY HAPPENS TO BE THE MOST ORGANIZED CITY ON PANAMA, AND ALSO HAS MANY PLACES TO VISIT AND ENJOY WHENEVER IT´S VISITED.

THINGS THAT I ´VE DONE DURING MY VACATIONS WERE VISITED SOME OLD FRIENDS IN COLON, JOIN MY FAMILY, HAVE THE TIME OF MY LIFE IN PANAMA AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING OF ALL, SPEND A WEEKEND AT THE PANAMA CANAL IN COLON, WHERE EVREYTHING WAS ABSOLUTLY WONDERFULL. I BOUGHT GIFTS TO MY FAMILY FROM EVERY PLACE I WENT, SPECCIALY FROM PANAMA CANAL.

My Favorite Animal..!!!

My favorite animal is a white tiger. I like it because it's a very rare, beautiful and mysterious animal. It's about 3 meters long and it weighs approximately 180-285 kg. They have blue eyes, a pink nose, and creamy white fur covered with chocolate colored stripes. The white tiger is born to a Bengal tiger that has the gene needed for white coloring. This gene in the genetic code, and only turns up naturally about once in every 10,000 births. A pure white tiger has no stripes and are totally white. White tigers are white colored Bengals, they are not albinos and they are not a separate subspecies of tigers. All white tigers are cross eyed, whether it shows or not, because the gene that causes the white coat always causes the optic nerve to be wired to the wrong side of the brain. White tigers are very rarely found in the wild. In about 100 yeas only 12 white tigers have been seen in the wild in India. They are almost extinct and most of the ones living are in captivity, mostly in zoos. White tigers in the wild live to be about 10 to 15 years while tigers in zoos usually live between 16 and 20 years. Because they are solitary animals, they hunt mostly at night. The White Tiger is a good swimmer, but a very poor climber. At the beginning of this century it is estimated that there were 100,000 wild tigers, today the number is less than 8,000. Simply put, tigers are disappearing in the wild. The main threats to tigers are poaching, habitat loss and population fragmentation.

Simone Simons

(Born January 17, 1985) is a Dutch mezzo-soprano singer who is the lead vocalist of symphonic metal band Epica.
Simons has had an interest for music since she was ten years old, and after listening to the Nightwish album Oceanborn at the age of fifteen, she began taking classical singing lessons. She sang in a choir for a couple of months in 2002, joining Epica soon after. She was previously in a romantic relationship with Epica guitarist Mark Jansen and co-writes the band's lyrics with him. She is currently engaged with Oliver Palotai, of the band Kamelot.

Epica is a Dutch symphonic metal band which puts emphasis on the use of operatic elements and death grunts, also performing some song passages in Latin. It was founded by guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen subsequent to his departure from After Forever.
Biography
In early 2002, Mark Jansen left After Forever due to creative differences and began looking for musicians to integrate a new musical project, initially named Sahara Dust. In late 2002, the band courted Helena Michaelsen (from Trail of Tears) as its frontwoman, but shortly after she was replaced by the then unknown mezzo-soprano Simone Simons, Jansen's girlfriend at the time. The band's line-up was completed by guitarist Ad Sluijter, drummer Jeroen Simons, bassist Yves Huts and keyboard player Coen Janssen. Their name was changed to Epica, inspired by Kamelot's album Epica.
Epica then assembled a choir (made up of two men and six women) and a string orchestra (three violins, two violas, two cellos and a double bass) to play along with them. Their debut album, The Phantom Agony, was produced by Sascha Paeth (known for having previously produced bands such as Angra, Rhapsody of Fire and Kamelot) and was released in late 2003.
Their second release, entitled Consign to Oblivion, was influenced by the culture of the Maya civilization, a fact which can be noticed, for example, on songs which integrate the "A New Age Dawns" arch. "A New Age Dawns" refers to the time system of the Mayan people, which extends up to the year of 2012, and makes no reference of what may happen past said year. Consign to Oblivion was composed with film scores as a basis, with Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman being cited as major inspirations. The album features guest singing by Roy Khan (from Kamelot) on the song "Trois Vierges". Epica also joined Kamelot as a support band on parts of their tour for promotion of the The Black Halo album, to which Simone had contributed her vocals.
Epica's The Score - An Epic Journey was released in September 2005 and is the soundtrack for a Dutch movie called Joyride, though it can also be seen as their third album. Characterised by guitarist, Mark Jansen, the album is "Typically Epica. Only without the singing, without the guitars, no bass and no drums".
In 2005 and 2006 Epica went on their first tour throughout North America with Kamelot. After the tour, their drummer, Jeroen Simons, left the band, due to his wish to pursue his other musical interests. In December Ariën Van Weesenbeek was announced at the official website of the band to be the drummer for their new album.
In September of 2007, Epica will for the first time be the head liners of their next North America tour. It will also see the release of their latest commercial album, which they began recording in late 2006.
